- GENERAL REQUIREMENTS
- Originality: Submitted manuscripts must be original, not previously published, and not under consideration by another journal.
- Language: Manuscripts are accepted in English or Ukrainian. For English submissions, high-quality academic language is required.
- Format: Manuscripts should be submitted in Microsoft Word (.doc, .docx) format.
- MANUSCRIPT STRUCTURE (IMRaD Standard)
Manuscripts should typically include the following sections:- UDC
- Title: Concise and informative.
- Abstract: 200–250 words (at least 1,800 characters), structured (Aim, Methods, Results, Conclusions).
- Keywords: 5–7 keywords for indexing.
- Introduction: Problem statement, literature review, and research objectives.
- Methods: Detailed description of satellite data (sensors, acquisition dates), processing algorithms (atmospheric correction, classification), and software used.
- Results: Presentation of findings with high-quality maps and charts.
- Discussion: Comparison with existing studies and scientific novelty.
- Conclusions: Summary of the research and practical recommendations.
- References: Formatted according to the APA 7th Edition style.
- TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS
- Technical parameters of images
- Format: TIFF, PNG or JPG (with minimal compression).
- Resolution: at least 300 dpi for raster images and 600 dpi for diagrams and graphs.
- Size: Images must be clear at 100% scale. Width - up to 17 cm (for the entire page) or up to 8 cm (for one column).
- Required map/image elementsEach map or processed satellite image must have:
- Geographic coordinate grid (or coordinate markers along the edges of the frame).
- Linear scale (Scale bar) - mandatory, since numerical scale (e.g. 1:10,000) loses its meaning when changing the page size.
- North arrow, if the map (image) is oriented non-standardly.
- Legend: clear decoding of all symbols, color scales or classification classes. Presentation format: a rectangle with a number on the right and a description after the figure title, or in the margins of the map.
- Captions and references to image sources
- Title: Each image should have a serial number and a concise title (for example, Fig. 1. Results of vegetation classification according to Sentinel-2 data).
- Data source: Be sure to indicate the origin of the data under the figure or in the text (for example, “Compiled by the author based on USGS/Landsat-8 data” or “Copernicus Sentinel-2 data, 2025”).
- Authorship: If the map is borrowed, indicate a link to the original publication.
- Color and text on images
- Use sans-serif fonts (Arial, Helvetica) with a size of at least 8 pt.
- The text should contrast with the background (use a white stroke/halo for inscriptions on dark images).
- For thematic maps, use palettes that are understandable to people with color vision impairments (Color Universal Design).
- Specifics of remote sensing
- When comparing before/after images, use the same color gamut and spatial coverage.
- Indicate the combination of channels (e.g., Natural Color, NIR-Red-Green), if this is important for interpretation.
- Example of a caption: Fig. 2. NDVI index map of the Kakhovka reservoir water area as of 07/15/2023. Constructed using data from the Sentinel-2 satellite (ESA)
- Technical parameters of images
- ETHICAL COMPLIANCE & DISCLOSURES Authors are required to provide the following statements within the manuscript:
- Author Contributions (CRediT): Specify the role of each author (e.g., Conceptualization, Data Curation, Writing, etc.).
- Funding: Indicate which grants, organizations, institutions funded the presented research.
- Disclosure of AI use: If generative AI was used to edit or process data, this must be clearly stated. Example of how to describe AI use:“While preparing this manuscript, the author(s) used [Tool name, e.g., ChatGPT-4] to structure the initial draft and refine the text’s style. Additionally, the service [Name, e.g., Grammarly] was used to check grammar and punctuation. The process of searching for and organizing sources was carried out using [Name, e.g., Scispace or Elicit] to identify key trends in the literature on the topic. The author(s) bear full responsibility for the accuracy of the facts, data analysis, and the final formulation of conclusions.”
- Data availability and integrity: Authors describe how, where, and under what conditions other researchers or users can access the data on which your conclusions are based. Authors must ensure that image processing (filtering, enhancement) does not distort the original satellite data.
- Acknowledgments: The authors are grateful to the individuals, institutions, or grantees who contributed to the study but are not its co-authors.
- Conflict of Interest: Disclose any financial or personal relationships that could bias the work.
- PEER REVIEW & OPEN ACCESS
- Review Type: Double-blind Peer Review.
- Licensing: Articles are published under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 (CC BY 4.0) license.

- SUBMISSION CHECKLIST Before submitting, please ensure:
- The manuscript is anonymized for blind review.
- All figures and tables are cited in the text.
- All references have DOI links where available.
- A separate Title Page with author affiliations and ORCIDs is prepared.

Abridged version of the methodological recommendations of “International Citation Styles and Scientific References”
The titles of the publications of the periodical (articles) or the title of the book are presented in English translation. Titles of Ukrainian- or Russian-language periodicals - transliterate or represent the parallel name of the journal in English, if it is mentioned on the title of the journal or its pages. After the bibliographic description, it is necessary to indicate the original language (in Ukrainian, in Russian).
Pay attention to the transliteration of author's names! Since references to incorrect names will not be counted. In order to avoid inaccuracies in the transliteration of the names and translations of the titles of articles, we recommend using annotations in English for the articles to which you refer.
The list of names should include all authors, regardless of their number.
At the end of the bibliographic description, the Digital Object Identifier (doi) must be indicated if it is present at the source to which the author refers.
The names of conferences, seminars and. etc. write without quotes.
